Quick Start Guide

HEIC to JPEG Converter converts HEIC images, generated on iOS devices, to popular images formats like JPEG, PNG, and BMP. The app is designed to make the HEIC image conversion process as effective and effortless as possible. 

The app converts HEIC photos locally so there is no need to upload or download any files. The conversion features are not only easy to use, they are also secure and thus protect your privacy and identity.

To get the most of the application, follow this product guide to quickly master all the essential features.

How to launch the application

  1. Press the Windows button on your keyboard or Click the Windows icon at the bottom-left of the desktop.
  2. Type HEIC to JPEG Converter
  3. Identify and click the application  entry from the suggestion list.
  4. Wait for the app to finish loading and launching. 

The app is designed to make it easy for you to convert HEIC images in the best quality. There are three things that you need to take care of:

  1. Add the HEIC images for conversion,
  2. Select the conversion file format, and
  3. Select the destination folder for the converted files

And then, with the press of the conversion button all the selected HEIC will be converted automatically.

How to add HEIC images

There are two ways of adding HEIC images:

Method 1: Use the “Add File…” button

  1. Lunch the app
  2. Click either “Add Files…” in the main area or “Add Files” on the bottom toolbar
  3. From the Open File dialogbox, locate the folder that contains the source HEIC images.
  4. Select the HEIC images for conversion and click the Open button

Method 2: Drag-n-drop from Windows Explorer into the app:

  1. Launch the app and arrive at the main interface, where you see the area marked as “Drag-n-drop Files Here” 
  2. Open Windows Explorer and locate the source HEIC images for conversion
  3. Use your mouse to select one or more HEIC image files
  4. Place the app window and the Windows explorer side by side
  5. Use your mouse to drag and drop the select files from Windows Explorer into the Drag-n-drop zone in the app.

When the app finishes loading all source files, it displays them in the Conversion Image List window, where you can add or remove HEIC images.  

How to add HEIC images from different locations

You can add and convert HEIC images from multiple folder locations. To do so: you add the image(s) from the first folder location from the main interface as specified above, and then, you continue adding more HEIC files from the Conversion Image list window:

  1. Click the “Add Files” icon on the bottom toolbar
  2. From the Open File dialogbox, locate the folder that contains the source HEIC images.
  3. Select the HEIC images for conversion and click the Open button

Repeat the process until you finish adding all HEIC files.

How to remove HEIC images

Prior to the conversion process, you can remove HEIC image files from the Conversion Image List window. 

Method 1: Remove individual files:

  1. Locate the HEIC image file you would like to remove
  2. Click the Remove File icon located under the Actions column


Method 2: Remove all files in the list:

  • Click the Remove Files button located on the bottom toolbar

Please note: removing HEIC files from this list doesn’t delete any files or their content.

How to select the conversion file format

HEIC to JPEG converter supports four image file format: BMP, JPEG, JPG, and PNG. 

To select the file format for conversion:

  1. Click the dropdown arrow that’s labelled “Convert to:
  2. Select the file format as desired

The app automatically remembers the chosen format for future usage.

How to select the destination folder

HEIC to JPEG converter puts all converted image files in one destination folder. To specify the location of this folder: 

  1. From above the image file list, click the “Browse…” button to the right of the right of the Output Folder edit box
  2. From the browse for folder dialogbox, locate the folder path for where you want to store the converted image files
  3. Click OK to confirm

How to Convert HEIC images

When you have selected all source HEIC files, chosen the file format, and specified the destination folder, click the Convert Files button on the bottom toolbar.

The app sequentially converts all files while reporting its progress and status in real-time.

Once the conversion is completed you can click the Locate File button next to each file under the Actions column to find the particular image file in the destination folder. 

Click the Finish button to return to the main GUI window, from where you can repeat the conversion process for more HEIC files
